Twin Atlantic join Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival


Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (6th and 7th August, Beauly, Inverness-shire IV4 7BA), which sold out in advance last year, announces further additions to the line-up for its seventh appearance.

Glasgow’s finest and firm Belladrum favourites Twin Atlantic make their Bella main stage debut this year after filling the Seedlings Tent to capacity in 2008 and packing out the Hot House Stage the following year (2009); other acts appearing include, one of the UK’s hottest acts of the moment Goldheart Assembly, Colin MacIntyre aka Mull Historical Society, rising Scottish acts The Boy Who Trapped The Sun and Kassidy, along with Harper Simon (son of Paul Simon), Leddra Chapman, Pete Lawrie, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, Orkestra del Sol and Bombskare.

These join Friday headliners Feeder, the Brit Award-nominated alternative rock band from Wales, have three platinum selling albums to their credit, and Glasgow’s Amy MacDonald, who headlines the Saturday night, has sold over 3 million albums and last played Bella in 2007.

Bob Marley’s legendary Wailers are billed to bring the unforgettable songs, sounds and rhythms of one of the last great Reggae institutions still in existence to the main stage in their first ever visit to the Highlands; the festival will also feature: Candi Staton, the queen of southern soul; Brighton rock band the Levellers; a first appearance of local heroes Wolfstone and the return of Barra’s Celtic musical magicians The Vatersay Boys; bands of the moment Stornoway, Erland and the the Carnival, Alex Gardner, Egyptian Hip Hop, Young Fathers and Unicorn Kid are all set to make their debut appearance on the Hothouse stage as well as cult 80’s act, and an influence to many, The Woodentops, the stage is to be headlined by Indie legends the Divine Comedy.

The ever popular Grassroots stage will this year play host to the likes of folk legend Dick Gaughan, John Otway who needs no introduction and the wonderful Beth Jeans Houghton.
