Jennifer Hudson still confused over parenthood

Jennifer Hudson still confused over parenthood

Jennifer Hudson still doesn’t feel she has the 'right answers' to parenthood.

The singer-and-actress – who has nine-month-old son David with fiancé David Otunga – admits balancing parenthood with her career is still a learning curve but she feels she is doing well so far.

She said: 'It’s still very new to me. I don’t feel like I have the formula or the right answers just yet. But so far, so good.'

Jennifer can next be seen portraying Winnie Mandela, the wife of freedom fighter Nelson Mandela in 'Winnie’ and has prepared herself for a barrage of criticism for the role.

The movie has already been panned by critics for glossing over certain parts of the central character’s personal and political life, while Winnie herself has threatened to sue the filmmakers because she was not consulted in the making of the movie.

Jennifer told WWD: 'I’m not here to pick a fight; I’m here just to reflect what was her story.

'Anyone could easily say, 'You know, that’s your battle, you fight it. But she decided to be a partner and stand up for what he believed in.'

Despite having recently become a spokesperson for Weight Watchers and recording a duet with Leona Lewis on the 'Sex and the City 2’ soundtrack, Jennifer has revealed there is still one industry she would like to crack.

She said: 'I would love to do something in fashion.'
