Brandon Flowers on 'Flamingo'

Brandon Flowers on Flamingo

Brandon Flowers talks to Xfm about his forthcoming solo album, 'Flamingo’.

The Killers frontman has brought in Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam), Daniel $Lanois (U2) and Stuart Price (Madonna) to produce an album that is unlikely to sound like a 'side project’ in any way, shape or form. 'I got the dream team', he told Xfm in an exclusive interview.

'It was great seeing Stuart Price take a song that was very rootsy and traditional and bring it into the future. It was also great to see the opposite happen when I thought a song would be synth-driven and then become a real rock song'.

Flowers also revealed that he got all three producers in a financially reduced all-in-one deal.

'I think they all wanted to do the next Killers album so I got them for cheap', he laughed. 'You’ve got to get juiced in! It’s the Vegas way'.
