Brandon Flowers talks to Xfm about his forthcoming solo album, 'Flamingo.
The Killers frontman has brought in Brendan OBrien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam), Daniel $Lanois (U2) and Stuart Price (Madonna) to produce an album that is unlikely to sound like a 'side project in any way, shape or form. 'I got the dream team', he told Xfm in an exclusive interview.
'It was great seeing Stuart Price take a song that was very rootsy and traditional and bring it into the future. It was also great to see the opposite happen when I thought a song would be synth-driven and then become a real rock song'.
Flowers also revealed that he got all three producers in a financially reduced all-in-one deal.
'I think they all wanted to do the next Killers album so I got them for cheap', he laughed. 'Youve got to get juiced in! Its the Vegas way'.
