Amy Winehouse kicks off at theatre-goers

Amy Winehouse kicks off at theatre-goers

Amy Winehouse shocked theatre-goers by hurling abuse at the cast and reportedly kicking the theatre’s manager.

The troubled star is being investigated by British police after her antics at the pantomime – a traditional musical comedy production, typically performed around Christmas – which saw her disrupt the performance of 'Cinderella’ by heckling its stars before attacking front-of-house manager Richard Pound.

Amy – who is thought to have been drinking - reportedly spent more than half an hour of the first act of the performance yelling expletives.

Her outbursts were said to include: 'F**k Cinders, Prince Charming, marry me' and branding the Ugly Sisters 'b***hes.'

Families in the audience at the theatre in Milton Keynes, South East England, were upset when the 'Back To Black’ star repeatedly stood up, blocking their view to jeer at the cast.

According to The Sun newspaper, during the show’s interval, Amy, 26, refused to be ushered to a box in the theatre, which is when she launched her attack at Richard, kicking him between his legs, punching him and pulling his hair.

At this point it is reported the singer was carried out of the theatre by her bodyguards, leaving members of the cast – including British TV personalities Anthea Turner and Bobby Davro – stunned.

The singer reportedly attended the play in support of her friend Anthony Kavanagh, a former pop singer and reality TV star who was standing in for the role of Prince Charming.

A source said: 'Anthony brought Amy to impress the cast with his showbiz connections, but it backfired badly.'

Local police said they are investigating an assault, but no arrest had been made.

Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk design PSP game

Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk design PSP game

Number 1 chart topping Tinchy Stryder and recent MOBO winning friend Chipmunk have designed their very own levels for the hugely popular game, LittleBigPlanet, released on PlayStation® Portable (PSP). The stars join the likes of Scissor Sisters, Lily Allen, The Script, The Coral, The Horrors, Lil Chris and Daniel Merriweather in being asked to design levels for the game.

Tinchy and Chipmunk designed their LittleBigPlanet levels on their own PSPs, whilst on tour together around the U.K. Designing the level came naturally to Tinchy, who before topping the charts completed a degree in Digital Arts and Moving Image. Footage of them both designing their levels can be seen at www.youtube.com/littlebigplanetuk. The levels will be made available to download for free. Since the launch of LittleBigPlanet over a million levels have been created by fans of the game.

Tinchy’s level is set in China, where you will fight Ninja’s and fire breathing Dragon’s with green gas, whilst surrounded by number 1 signs and Tinchy logos. Alternatively Chipmunk’s level is a race against time, where you will ride a polar bear, dodge cracking ice and jump over electrics whilst surrounded by Penguins, capital 'C’s and Chipmunk logos.

In a special addition the pop stars have been immortalised by the creators of LittleBigPlanet, rendered as special sackboys – the LittleBigPlanet hero. The designs for the new sackboys were picked via a special online competition where fans of the rappers and the game uploaded their designs, which were judged and adapted by Tinchy and Chipmunk. The winners were Omar Akhtar (Chipmunk) and Oliver Bright ( Tinchy Stryder).

For further information on this unique collaboration check out www.youtube.com/littlebigplanetuk

To download the special levels you’ll need a copy of LittleBigPlanet for the PlayStation® Portable (PSP).

Alexandra Burke doesn’t want any gifts for Christmas

The 'Bad Boys’ singer is looking forward to spending the festive season with her family and says that just spending time with her loved ones is enough for her – though she would be happy with a new wardrobe.

She said; 'I’ll be at home with the family in London. I couldn’t be anywhere else. We all cook and have family meals together when we can so it’s going to be a great day.

'I don’t want any presents, I’m just happy being with them. That sounds cheesy doesn’t it? OK, clothes I guess. A girl can never have too many shoes and clothes!'

Although she would be happy with nothing, Alexandra is struggling to figure out what to buy her family.

The 21-year-old pop star added: 'I’m actually still thinking about what to get them. I’m still madly saving to buy a house for my mother but of course I’ll treat them.'

David Beckham starts singing

David Beckham starts singing

David Beckham was left mortified when he was forced to join in a singing game with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

The soccer ace – who is married to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham – isn’t a fan of 'crowd participation' and gets nervous when he goes to dinner with Eva Longoria Parker because she likes to get everyone involved.

During an interview US TV star George Lopez, he said: 'Eva’s got this whole thing - and her husband Tony - about playing games, I get so uncomfortable with crowd participation. We were at dinner once with Tom and Katie, We sat there and everyone was like, 'Let’s play a music game – let’s start a singing game.’

'That’s my worst nightmare. I kind of get uncomfortable with it.'

David also gave George an impromptu haircut after the host asked the fashion conscious sportsman – famous for his many different cuts - for some style tips.

David, 34, said: 'If you want me to give you some kind of haircut - my mum's a hairdresser so I've inherited that a little bit.'

He then took off his suit jacket and gave George a 'bro-hawk'.

Last year, Victoria revealed she and David participated in a conga with Tom and Katie following David winning the title with Spanish team Real Madrid in 2007.

She said: "When Tom and Katie both came to Madrid to watch David when he won the championship, that night we all went to a Spanish restaurant and we were having fun and Tom started serenading Katie. He was singing 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling’, which of course he sang in 'Top Gun’, then we all did a conga around the Spanish restaurant. They really know how to have a laugh.'

LeAnn Rimes agrees to divorce

LeAnn Rimes agrees to divorce

LeAnn Rimes and estranged husband Dean Sheremet have agreed to a private divorce.

The singer-and-actress and the former backing dancer’s seven-year marriage will legally end on June 19, 2010, but the pair have requested that details of their split remain confidential.

A document filed at a Los Angeles court read: "The settlement shall not be filed in this proceeding due to the parties mutual desire to maintain their respective rights to privacy."

The settlement will divide their cash, property and other valuables.

In September, LeAnn - who is now romancing her 'Northern Lights' co-star Eddie Cibrian - announced she was getting a divorce.

She said on her official website: "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Dean and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage. This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support - it is deeply appreciated."

LeAnn - who married former Dean in 2002 when she was 19 - is believed to have started an affair with married actor Eddie after they met on the set of TV movie 'Northern Lights' last autumn.

Eddie's wife Brandi Glanville filed for divorce in August, revealing she had split from her spouse because he had been unfaithful.

She said: "Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other."

Although both LeAnn and Eddie denied they were romantically involved, they were spotted enjoying several intimate dates.

Kate Hudson dumped by Alex Rodriguez for attention seeking

Kate Hudson dumped by Alex Rodriguez for attention seeking

Kate Hudson was reportedly dumped by Alex Rodriguez because she was too much of an attention seeker.

The 'How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days’ actress and the New York Yankees baseball star split earlier this month and sources claim Alex, nicknamed A-Rod, had grown tired of Kate’s behaviour when she went to watch him play.

One said: "Kate wanted more camera time each and every game. She would always want to be styled before games and she'd insist on front-row seats.

"It was a turn-off to have a girlfriend who always wanted to be on camera. Alex wanted someone who was more interested in building a long-term relationship than just building their profile."

Alex – who has two young daughters with ex-wife Cynthia – also felt smothered by mother-of-one Kate and wanted more freedom.

The source added to gossip blogger Perez Hilton: "He's just coming off of a 13-year relationship with his ex-wife and a recent divorce. He has two lovely children with his ex-wife, and that requires a certain amount of responsibility. She gave him ultimatums that a newly divorced father can't meet."

However, the split was amicable and the couple remain good friends.

Pete Doherty charged with heroin possession

Pete Doherty has been charged with heroin possession.

The 30-year-old Babyshambles rocker was arrested yesterday (21.12.09), shortly after appearing in Gloucester Crown Court on other charges, and must now appear in court in January over the new offence.

A spokeswoman for Gloucester police confirmed: "The 30-year-old man from Wiltshire arrested in Gloucester yesterday has been charged with possession of heroin. He was bailed to appear at Gloucester Magistrates Court on January 27.'

It has also emerged the singer could also be charged with offences linked to a hit-and-run which left a pedestrian in a critical condition.

His manager, Andrew Boyd, 42, of north London, has already appeared in court charged with a number of offences relating to the incident which took place in Hadleigh, Suffolk, in September.

It is believed that the car involved in the accident was a Jaguar belonging to the rocker.

Yesterday, Pete was fined £2,050 and given an 18-month driving ban after pleading guilty to drink-driving and careless driving following a concert in July.

Jamie Cullum wooed Sophie Dahl with books.

The 'Twentysomething’ singer – who is engaged to Sophie Dahl, the author and former model – said he tried to impress her with his knowledge of books when they first met.

He said: 'We hit it off immediately. I think we knew emotionally that we would become good friends. We just started talking about books – I was reading David Mitchells 'Cloud Atlas’ at the time – and certain other stuff that we were into.'

Jamie – who met Sophie at a charity event for the Lavender Trust two-and-a-half years ago – said he never thought the former model would be interested in him.

He told the Observer newspaper: 'Someone like me never entertains the idea of going after someone like her, so I didn’t go for it. I couldn’t assume that she would be interested in me... but it worked!

'Lucky old me – it turned out to be much more. I think it was to do with the fact that I always carry a good boy around with me. In my case I was actually reading it, although it’s a good chat-up tip, I think, to always carry a good, thick book.'

Brandy has gone over to the other side. From now on she shall be known as Bran`Nu the rapper.

You can get a taste of Bran’Nu on the new Timbaland album 'Shock Value II’. That’s the artist formerly known as Brandy rapping 'Meet In The Middle’ and collaborating on the last track 'Symphony’.

The all-new Bran’Nu officially launched herself as rapper this month after a rough year. Brandy started 2009 signing with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. That ended 6 months later. She also left Epic Records this year after just one album.

We still don’t known if Bran’Nu is for real or just a bit of one-off fun with the uber-producer.

Bon Jovi son was rushed to hospital yesterday

One of Jon Bon Jovi’s sons was rushed to hospital yesterday (20.12.09).

A telephone call was reportedly made from the 'Everyday’ singer’s home to emergency services in the early hours of Sunday morning because of a medical problem with one of his four children.

Because of a severe snowstorm, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) was rushed to the house in New Jersey instead of an ambulance and the youngster was taken to the nearby Riverview Medical Center in Redbank.

Gossip website TMZ reported: 'A call was placed from Bon Jovi's home at around 2:20 AM.'

The son – either Jesse, 14, Jacob, seven or five-year-old Romeo – was released a few hours later.

The incident was reportedly not serious, but the reasons behind the emergency dash remain unclear.

Police have refused to confirm which of Jon’s sons had been taken ill.

Earlier this year, the rocker celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary to his childhood sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley.

He said: "Best investment I ever made. Trust me she is the best. I am very happy."

The couple also have a daughter Stephanie, 16.

Leona Lewis is over her fan attack

The 'Happy’ singer, who was punched in the face by Peter Kowalczyk as she signed copies of her autobiography 'Dreams' on October 14 at a London book store, was left upset and stunned at the time of the incident but has now put it behind her.

Speaking on UK TV show 'Live From Studio Five’, she said: 'At first it was very shocking and I was very upset but you know I’ve kind of put it behind me.

'I just want to keep moving forward and I don’t want it to affect me in any way and it hasn’t either.'

Her attacker pleaded guilty to common assault in court earlier this week. Peter is alleged to say 'gotcha' as he punched the pop star.

Leona, 24, also revealed she hasn’t let fame and success go to her head and insists she is still a 'normal' person.

Commenting on her good girl image, Leona said: 'I think people kind of just see me as kind of the girl next door, which I am kind of normal, very down to earth and I’m glad people see me in that way.

'I think that people are not silly, I’m still a young girl and I do go out and have fun but you know I’m smart with my actions and how I do things.'

Just a few weeks ago, Banton was nominated for Best Reggae Album for the 2010 Grammy Awards. It created an outrage because of the anti-Gay lyrical content of the song 'Rasta Got Soul’ in which he sang about the need for violence against the gay community.

Miley Cyrus teaches nine-year-old sister sister to dirty dance

The 'Hannah Montana' star – who recently gyrated on stage at the Royal Variety Performance in Blackpool, UK, wearing only a tiny pair of leather hotpants while performing her hit 'Party In The USA' – can be seen in a video clip urging Noah Cyrus to perform a routine to Akon’s 'Smack That’ featuring daring shimmies and pats to her butt.

The 17-year-old teen sensation – who has recently said she is keen to appeal to a wider, more adult audience – is used to shocking her fans.

Last year she appeared in a series of semi-nude photographs for US publication Vanity Fair and had to apologise afterwards when fans deemed them inappropriate.

She said: "I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologise to my fans who I care so deeply about."

In August this year she was also slammed for her dance routine at the Teen Choice Awards where she danced provocatively around a pole.

Leona Lewis frightened after attack

Leona Lewis is frightened to go out after being attacked by a schizophrenic fan.

The 'Bleeding Love’ singer – who was punched in the face by Peter Kowalczyk as she signed copies of her autobiography 'Dreams’ on October 14 – was left 'devastated' by the attack and fears she will be assaulted again.

In a witness statement read out in a London court yesterday (14.12.09): 'Now I’m very frightened about going out in public.

"I don't know where the next attack will come from and if this will be more serious than what has happened."

The 24-year-old songstress suffered swelling to her face and whiplash after the 29-year-old man with mental health problems attacked her at the Waterstone’s book store in Piccadilly, Central London.

Kowalczyk was in the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London yesterday where he admitted assault and was sentenced by judges.

After telling the courtroom he hadn’t taken his medication prior to the attack, magistrates ordered Kowalczyk to stay in hospital under the Mental Health Act - where he will remain indefinitely.

District Judge Howard Riddle told him: "This is what happens when you don't take your medication. A woman is now devastated."

According to his father Tomasz, the man was a fan of British reality TV show 'The X Factor’ – which Leona won in 2006 – and was jealous of her success.

He said: "He wants to be a singer and went to 'X Factor’ auditions. How far did he get with it? Nowhere."

However, a source at The Mayfair Hotel suggested that Sarah stumbled out of her bed last week, causing the break.

Last week, she was unable to attend the premiere after-party for new movie 'St Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold’ – in which she plays a troublemaking school girl - because of the injury.

Paul McCartney’s marriage to Heather Mills is his biggest recent regret

Sir Paul McCartney’s marriage to Heather Mills is his biggest regret of the last ten years.

The Beatles star - who has a six-year-old daughter Beatrice with the former model-and-charity-campaigner – admits if he could go back and change anything since 2000 it would be his union to Heather.

He said in an interview with Q magazine: 'I suppose the marriage has to be a prime contender for mistake of the decade. But I don’t want to down anyone.

'These things happen you know? But I tend to look at the positive side, which is that I have another beautiful daughter out of it.'

Despite the acrimonious divorce, Paul insists he has had a good time for most of the last ten years.

He said: 'I’ve managed to feel quite fulfilled this decade. If I hadn’t done my side project The Fireman I think I would wish I’d done that because it freshened ideas up for me.'

Paul, 67, also quashed rumours he would be retiring soon.

He revealed: 'I have too much fun. Why would I retire? Sit at home and watch TV? No thanks. I’d rather be out playing.'

Paul and Heather married in 2002 and divorced in 2008. The 'Yesterday’ singer had to pay his former spouse a £16.8 million settlement.

50 Cent wants to be Brad Pitt so he can have sex with Angelina Jolie.

The rapper would love to swap bodies with the 'Inglourious Basterds’ hunk for a day, so he could make passionate love to the beautiful actress.

He said: "I'd be Brad Pitt. Go sleep with Angelina and come back."

Brad and Angelina – who is regularly named as one of the world’s sexiest women in polls – have been dating since 2005 and raise six children together.

Meanwhile, 50 has admitted his alcohol tolerance is so low, he gets drunk after two drinks.

The rapper - real name Curtis Jackson – told Complex magazine: "For me... two cups is over the limit. After one beer, you're drunk, technically."

The 34-year-old star also claimed he is prone to mood swings which affect the people around him.

When asked who he most annoying person he knew was, 50 replied: "It might be me. I'm a moody person."

Queen and The Muppets’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ to be released for Christmas!

Queen and The Muppets’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ to be released for Christmas!

In the past week, the video for Queen + The Muppets’ version of 'Bohemian Rhapsody’ has been viewed over a staggering nine and a half million on YouTube.

The video brings together two iconic pieces of pop culture: Queen’s rock-opera classic 'Bohemian Rhapsody’ and Jim Henson’s inimitable Muppets. It features all the hugely recognisable characters that defined an era of children’s television, and continue to be popular with each new generation; Miss Piggy, Kermit The Frog, Gonzo, Animal and many more.

Seen as a contender to X Factor for the Christmas no.1 spot, bookmaker Paddy Power said of the single:

'We’ve taken more bets on the Muppets to be Christmas No. 1 than anyone else so far, but with zillions of views already on YouTube it’s no surprise the punters are getting stuck in. Imagine, the mighty X Factor toppled by the Muppets! It’s great to have a competitive Christmas no. 1 race again!'

The momentum for the video has taken on a life of its own, with The One Show and Sky News having already shown it, plus The Sun tipping it as a Christmas Number 1 contender.

The single will be released as a Vingle (video of the single) and audio, both available through all Digital Service Providers.

Ronnie Wood is adamant he won’t reconcile with Ekaterina Ivanova

The Rolling Stones rocker has called time on his turbulent 18-month romance with the 20-year-old Russian waitress following a string of explosive rows – the latest of which saw him arrested for allegedly assaulting her last week – and has turned to ex-wife Jo Wood for support.

Jo said: 'I was very upset to hear about what happened last week and I've spoken to Ronnie.

'In fact, I called him after he came out of the police station to see how he was coping and he told me not to worry and that he's going to be OK.

'But he said he has split up with that girl for good. It's over. He won't be going back to her. There's no going back for him, he's adamant about that.

'We're still speaking and he's been talking with our daughter Leah, too, and told her the same thing.'

Despite putting their acrimonious divorce behind them, Jo insists she doesn’t want to get back with the 62-year-old rocker.

The former model – who was married to Ronnie for 23 years before he left her for Ekaterina last summer – told the Daily Mail newspaper: 'But before people ask or assume that we might be getting back together, we're not. Absolutely not. I'm very happy being single at the moment and I'm enjoying life.'

Jo, 54, is so determined to move on from Ronnie she is even selling their former marital home in Surrey to move to London.

She added: 'I’ve decided to sell the house here and move out and I'm looking to buy a lovely apartment in town, close to all the parties and so I can be near to my friends.

'This house has so much history and so many memories for me but it's time for someone else with a big family to enjoy it.

'My kids are getting older and I don't want to be rattling around here on my own.'

Mick Jones busks at One Foot In The Grove Exhibition launch

The press launch of Mutate Britain’s highly anticipated 'One Foot In The Grove’ event got off to an incredible start last week as people came out in their hundreds to experience the 15,000 square foot exhibition of Street Art, giant Sculpture and Installations.

U2's Christopher Lawrence bootleg free to download here

U2s Christopher Lawrence bootleg free to download here

Christopher Lawrence has released a free download of his bootleg remix of U2's massive single 'I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight'.

The single is the fifth track from U2's new album 'No Line on the Horizon'. It was one of the highlights of U2's recent European leg of the tour.

'I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight' was originally released in the UK in September 2009 by Mercury. Other artists who have released remixes include Dirty South, Fish Out Of Water, and Redanka.

Christopher Lawrence's remix received widespread support from the World's top jocks and radio stations when it was originally promo'd and has now been made available as a free download to the public. He kicks up the energy level a notch with this hot remix built around a groovy acid bass line and syncopated percussion. Use of the original vocals create dancefloor tension in the build up out of the breakdown. Classic progressive house and trance sounds were used effectively but sparingly to give the track room to breathe.

Christopher Lawrence says of the remix "being given the opportunity to remix one of U2's songs was a dream come true. Bono's voice is a such a signature sound to the band's identity, I felt it was important to use as much of the original vocals of the song as possible to maintain the integrity of the song".

'I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight' was used in television commercials for a new Blackberry application, called the "U2 Mobile App", which was developed as part of Research in Motion's sponsorship of the U2 360° Tour. There are two music videos, one directed by David O'Reilly and one by Alex Courtes.

Lady Gaga has over 20 wigs

Lady Gaga has over 20 wigs – one for every mood.

The eccentric singer has the huge collection of hair pieces so she doesn’t have to see a hair stylist every time she wants a new look.

She said: 'I have more than 20 wigs. So I can have a new hairstyle without having to keep running to the hairdresser every day. That's great, right? And depending on my mood I opt for this at one time and for that at others. How I present myself to the outside world always depends on how I feel inside.'

Lady Gaga believes each of her wigs has its own individual personality and when she dons the locks she takes on its characteristics.

She added: 'My red curly wig is wild and a little confused. I think I'm also just a bit confused and messy.'

But the 23-year-old singer insists she doesn’t need to don a wig to feel crazy because she feels crazy enough anyway.

She added to German newspaper Main Post: 'I find myself already crazy enough. It can be confusing really, this life as Lady Gaga. Sometimes everything turns in my head. That´s my life, my wonderful, crazy life.'

Britney’s conservatorship to end soon

Britney’s conservatorship to end soon

The 28-year-old singer’s father Jamie Spears – who was made co-conservator of her personal and professional affairs after her public breakdown in 2008 - has met with lawyers and wants a judge to review the conditions of the agreement now Britney’s 'Circus’ tour has ended.

According to gossip website TMZ, there have been 'several lengthy meetings recently between the lawyers and the court commissioner in the commissioner’s chambers'.

Although they’ve met with the judge, Jamie and Britney’s lawyers cannot decide whether or not the conservatorship ends.

Instead, a 'capacity expert' – a court-appointed psychiatrist – will evaluate Britney and submit his results to the court commissioner.

While Britney could soon be in control of her personal life, her business interests are likely to be protected for longer.

TMZ reported: 'There are actually two conservatorships - one over Britney, the person, and the other over Britney's business affairs. We're told the business conservatorship will likely continue. The issue on the table is whether to end the conservatorship over Britney, the person. Again, no decisions have been made, but it's all moving in that direction.'

Mumford and Sons join BBC Radio 1 Festive Festival

Mumford and Sons join BBC Radio 1 Festive Festival

Getting the season in full swing, Nick Grimshaw hosts the BBC Radio 1 Festive Festival on Monday 21 December 7pm – 11pm, live from the legendary Maida Vale Studios.

Serving up a selection of musical treats from some of 2009’s established and hotly tipped acts the show cements Nick’s growing reputation as a supporter of new music in his nightly evening show from 10pm , Monday – Thursday on BBC Radio 1.

The artists confirmed for at the festive celebrations are - Simian Mobile Disco, Mumford and Sons, The XX, Enter Shikari and Marina and the Diamonds. Each act is set to perform three live tracks from the studios between 7pm – 10pm. For the last hour from 10pm, BBC Radio 1 DJ’s Kissy Sell Out and Toddla T take over with special mixes to get listeners into the party spirit.

'We're bringing a whole host of my favourite bands from 2009; one's who've shaped the year in music and my show over the past few months. The XX have broken through the hype and made my favourite album of the year so I'm thrilled to have them on the bill. Simian Mobile Disco returned this year with an album full of plinky plonky brilliance so we had to have them. Enter Shikari, probably the most loved band by my listeners, will tear it up as is Plan B who will be playing new stuff for the first time on the night. Mumford and Sons are really going to bring the festive vibes of the night and Marina and the Diamonds the glamour and a taster of a break through album of 2010. It’s such an honour to be broadcasting from Maida Vale and I can't wait to bring this festive special to everyone.' (Nick Grimshaw, BBC Radio 1)

Last year’s celebration, hosted by Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens was also live from Maida Vale Studios and included performances from amongst others Glasvegas, Chipmunk, Florence and the Machine and Friendly Fires,, all performing for the In New Music We Trust Christmas Party.

George Michael admits to drug use

George Michael admits to drug use

GEORGE MICHAEL has openly spoken about his drug use and his sexual habits.

The singer admitted that taking drugs was "just who I am" and confessed that he was in possession of crack cocaine when he was arrested last year in public toilets at Hampstead Heath.

Speaking to the Guardian, the 46-year-old former Wham! star didn't reveal the last time he had smoked the drug, but said he had cut back on his cannabis intake from 25 joints a day to seven or eight.

Michael, who is due to release the single December Song (I Dreamed of Christmas) as a download on 13th December - his first Christmas song since his 'Last Christmas' hit with Wham! - said he once spent his life "existing on a balance of Starbucks and weed".

He also spoke frankly about cruising for men on the Heath in north London, and said it was about finding "quick and honest sex".

He added: "The handful of times a year it's bloody warm enough, I'll do it. I'll do it on a nice summer evening. Quite often there are campfires up there.

"It's a much nicer place to get some quick and honest sex than standing in a bar, E'd off your tits shouting at somebody and hoping they want the same thing as you do in bed."

Michael also hit out at Sir Elton John, who publicly said he feared for Michael's health.

He said: "Elton lives on that. He will not be happy until I bang on his door in the middle of the night saying, ’Please, please, help me, Elton. Take me to rehab.’ It’s not going to happen.

'Elton just needs to shut his mouth and get on with his own life. Look, if people choose to believe that I’m sitting here in my ivory tower, Howard Hughesing myself with long fingernails and loads of drugs, then I can’t do anything about that, can I?'

He added: 'People want to see me as tragic with all the cottaging and drug-taking... those things are not what most people aspire to, and I think it removes people’s envy to see your weaknesses. I don’t even see them as weaknesses any more. It’s just who I am."

Nicole Richie to become comedy star

The socialite – who starred in hit reality show 'The Simple Life’ with Paris Hilton – has teamed up with US TV network ABC to create a new comedy show, which she will also star in.

The mother-of-two said on her website: 'I am so excited to announce that I am officially working on a television project. I am creating a half hour scripted comedy for ABC in which I will be starring in, as well as producing.'

'The comedy revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships. She must deal with, and navigate, the many ideas of what a woman’s role is: modern vs. traditional.'

Nicole – who recently announced she was putting herself on bedrest after being hospitalised with pneumonia – has been inspired by women from all different walks of life for the show.

She said: 'Lately, I have been surrounded by many different women of all ages and walks of life. It amazes me to watch and observe how many different ideas there are about what a woman’s role should be in this era. I’ve taken these fascinating ideas, and compiled them into something that I think will be very special and funny! We’re still in the very early stages and I can’t wait to share more with you soon!'

Katie Price found it harder breaking-up with Alex Reid than Peter Andre.

The former glamour model, 31, - who dumped cage-fighter Alex on live television last week after quitting UK reality TV show 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' – is struggling more with the aftermath of their split than she did when her marriage to the Australian singer ended earlier this year and hasn’t ruled out a reconciliation with Alex.

She told Britain’s Hello! magazine: "I was really falling for the guy and I can't switch off feelings just like that. So I'm not entirely ruling anything out anything between us.

"Strangely enough, I feel more hurt from this split right now than I did with Pete because I had known for some time from seeing a marriage counsellor that it probably wouldn't have lasted. Lots of things had happened, whereas with Alex, it seemed a fresh new start. "

Katie – whose divorce from the Australian singer was finalised in September – started dating Alex Reid only months are splitting from Peter.

Alex flew out to Australia intending to propose to Katie – who raises three children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and Princess Tiaamii, two with Peter – when she existed the programme, but was stunned when she called time on their relationship.

Katy Perry’s parents urge Russell Brand to find God

Katy Perry’s parents are urging Russell Brand to 'go towards the light' and find God.

The pastor parents of the 'I Kissed A Girl’ singer recently met the British comedian – a former heroin addict and alcoholic, as well as a notorious womaniser - for the first time, and said they are willing to accept him despite his past.

Katy’s mother Mary Hudson said: 'Russell must go towards the light and not toward the darkness. Only God can take the very worst person and turn them around for good.'

The long-haired funnyman also swapped books with Katy’s dad Keith, who gave him a copy of 'The Cry’, his tome about helping people release the 'desperate longing for God’s intervention in your life'.

Russell, 34, gave him a copy of his autobiography, 'My Booky Wook’, which details his former life of drug binges and prostitutes.

Mary added to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: 'You just have to see how the Lord’s will is done. I mean, how many times have your kids disappointed you so profoundly you wanted to get up from the chair and knock them out?

'There are parts of the Russell’s book where he is hungry for positive influences in his life.'

Keith added he felt Russell has a 'spiritual hunger'.

Katy, Russell and her parents are presently holidaying in the ski resort of Ischgl in Austria, where she played at the resort’s opening concert.

At the concert she wore what she called her 'sl**ty sexy Santa outfit' and dedicated a song to 'all my ex-boyfriends' as Russell looked on from the concert’s sound booth. The pair then took to the slopes yesterday (30.11.09).

Russell has said he has 'never felt more settled and happy' than he is in his relationship with Katy.

Rolling Stones to go on new world tour

Rolling Stones to go on new world tour

The Rolling Stones are to go on a world tour in 2010.

The rock veterans – whose last tour finished in 2007 and earned them more than £300 million – are planning a mammoth run of shows next year, according to Ronnie Wood's cocktail waitress girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova.

The 20-year-old Russian waitress – who has been dating 62-year-old Ronnie since he walked out on his 23-year marriage to Jo Wood in July 2009 - has been a little indiscreet in letting the world know about their plans.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: "She's not supposed to talk about it, things haven't been finalised but she couldn't resist telling a few friends."

Ronnie recently admitted he had been in touch with his Rolling Stones bandmates Sir Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts and insisted everything was 'great' between them, despite rumours he could be fired from the group because of his parting lifestyle.

Cerys Matthews gives birth

Cerys Matthews gives birth

Cerys Matthews has given birth to a boy.

The former Catatonia singer and her new son – who she has with her boyfriend-and-manager Steve Abbott – are both 'doing very well', despite going into labour eight weeks prematurely.

Cerys – who delivered her son on Monday (23.11.09) - said: 'How happy I am to let you know that our baby boy was born on Monday 23, eight weeks earlier than expected.

'We are doing very well and excited now to share this happy news with you.

'What an amazing surprise. Love always, Cerys and Steve.'

Cerys went into labour just days after co-presenting the charity telethon 'Children In Need’, at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on Friday (20.11.09).

The baby – who has not yet been named – is the first child for the couple.

The 40-year-old singer already has two children - daughter Glenys Pearl and son Johnny Tupelo Jones - with her ex-husband, American music producer Seth Riddle, while Steve, 49, has two children with his ex-wife Deborah.

Cerys and Steve originally kept news of the pregnancy secret, following concerns there could be complications with the pregnancy because of her age.

At the time a friend said: "Cerys and Steve are delighted - they could not be happier. They wanted to keep the situation under wraps until they were certain everything was going smoothly.'

JLS to help Rio Ferdinand launch new charity

JLS to help Rio Ferdinand launch new charity

Manchester United star, Rio Ferdinand today unveiled details for the launch event for his new charity the Rio Ferdinand Live The Dream Foundation. The charity aims to establish a series of centres in deprived areas to mentor teens and is designed to raise levels of aspiration, opportunity and achievement for all young people in the UK and overseas.

The glitzy launch event will take place on the 16th December at the Old Billingsgate in London where Rio will be joined by special guests and celebrities including top Premiership players like Frank Lampard, along with the likes of Robbie Williams, JLS and David Furnish to name but a few. Award-winning comedian James Corden has signed up as the host for the star studded event to unveil Rio’s Live the Dream Foundation.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Rio said: 'I've always been passionate about helping those who haven't had the best start in life - particularly young people. I was fortunate enough to realise my potential as a footballer and I want to help others do the same in whatever area that they believe they have the skills.

'Essentially, the foundation is a vehicle to reach out to young people and provide them with the resources they need to unlock their potential. The Live the Dream Foundation will help to change lives.'

The new charity recognises that young people everywhere are motivated and enthused by a range of cultural, sports and arts activities – from music to photography, film to football and dance to drama, but are often unaware of the opportunities available within these industries to turn a passion for the activity into a career in the industry.

Chris Nathaniel, NVA Management CEO and co-founder of the Live the Dream Foundation said: "Rio's always had a very clear vision of how he wanted the foundation to proactively reach out to young people without replicating what other charities are already doing. The direct involvement of someone of Rio’s profile is going to help keep pushing the importance of investing in young people higher up the agenda.'

Through the achievements, networks and partnerships of the Foundation’s trustees and partners, the Rio Ferdinand Live The Dream Foundation will deliver programmes of activity that will introduce young people to new activities, uncover new talent, provide accredited training and vocational skills, offer work placements, deliver careers workshops and support participants into education, training and employment.

The Spice Girls musical will be called ‘Viva Forever’

The Spice Girls musical will be called ‘Viva Forever’

The girl group have chosen to name the proposed musical after their 1998 number one hit and the script for the show is presently being written.

The musical – which will tell the rags-to-riches rise to fame of the five members, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Mel C and Emma Bunton – is being written by Kim Fuller, who also penned the script for the group’s 1997 film 'Spiceworld’. Kim is the sister of former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller.

The production will feature 14 of the band’s biggest songs, and is set to begin on November 5 next year.

It has previously been reported the group will hold a talent search to find the cast who will play the Spices on stage.

A source said: "It's a fantastic new way to broaden out the Spice franchise and cash in on their personalities, their story and their songs.

"The girls would have to work intensely on a TV show for a short period of time. But then they can launch a musical which could run for months or even years.

"It will take on a life of its own. The concept could even be replicated in other countries. The sky is the limit with this one."

The Spice Girls, who formed in 1994, last performed together in Toronto, Canada, in February 2008.
