Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk design PSP game

Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk design PSP game

Number 1 chart topping Tinchy Stryder and recent MOBO winning friend Chipmunk have designed their very own levels for the hugely popular game, LittleBigPlanet, released on PlayStation® Portable (PSP). The stars join the likes of Scissor Sisters, Lily Allen, The Script, The Coral, The Horrors, Lil Chris and Daniel Merriweather in being asked to design levels for the game.

Tinchy and Chipmunk designed their LittleBigPlanet levels on their own PSPs, whilst on tour together around the U.K. Designing the level came naturally to Tinchy, who before topping the charts completed a degree in Digital Arts and Moving Image. Footage of them both designing their levels can be seen at www.youtube.com/littlebigplanetuk. The levels will be made available to download for free. Since the launch of LittleBigPlanet over a million levels have been created by fans of the game.

Tinchy’s level is set in China, where you will fight Ninja’s and fire breathing Dragon’s with green gas, whilst surrounded by number 1 signs and Tinchy logos. Alternatively Chipmunk’s level is a race against time, where you will ride a polar bear, dodge cracking ice and jump over electrics whilst surrounded by Penguins, capital 'C’s and Chipmunk logos.

In a special addition the pop stars have been immortalised by the creators of LittleBigPlanet, rendered as special sackboys – the LittleBigPlanet hero. The designs for the new sackboys were picked via a special online competition where fans of the rappers and the game uploaded their designs, which were judged and adapted by Tinchy and Chipmunk. The winners were Omar Akhtar (Chipmunk) and Oliver Bright ( Tinchy Stryder).
