Boy George stocks up for arctic freeze

Boy George panic bought supplies to cope with the arctic weather that has hit the UK.

The 'Karma Chameleon’ singer made sure he was prepared for the heavy snowfall that has hit London in the last two days by stocking up on essential goods.

He tweeted: 'Hampstead is glorious, been to local shop for supplies, people are smiling. The snow is seriously heavy up on the hill in Hampstead. London is really in for it!'

Despite the sub-zero weather conditions, George wrapped up warm and headed out to have a meeting about his forthcoming new album.

He added on his twitter page: 'Meeting with record label going ahead, braving the snow for my art!'

George recently revealed his life had improved "100 per cent" since he gave up drugs.

The 48-year-old star - who was released from prison in May after serving four months of a 15-month sentence for assault and false imprisonment of a male escort - vowed never to touch illegal substances again after attending regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

He said: "I was like, I don't need it. I'm fine. I'd been to one in the 80s and I just thought they were all weirdos, which is a common get out clause for anyone in denial but I went to one.

"Since that day, my life has improved more than 100 per cent."
