Liam Gallagher talks up live debut

Gallagher JR tells Xfm Manchester his new band are set for their live debut in 2010.

Liam Gallagher has told Xfm Manchester’s Clint Boon that his new project will play live this year. Speaking about his band with former Oasis bandmates Gem Archer and Andy Bell, Liam said:

'We’ll be on stage this year, mate. Without a doubt. We’re half way through the record – the demos, that is.

'We’re in the studio this April to see if this producer works out. If he does, we’ll crack on with the album through June and July'.

Gallagher, however, remained tight-lipped about the producer.

'Nah, mate, I can’t tell you. Just in case it doesn’t work out'

He also wasn't keen to reveal the band's new name, but stressed they wouldn't be using Oasis.

"No, it’s not Oasis. That was a shit name anyway. I’m glad to see the back of it. There’s one that we're digging at the moment, but we’re going to get on with the music and see how it goes. If we haven’t got a better one by then, we’ll go with the one we’re into".

You can hear the exclusive interview with Liam Gallagher from 4pm on Xfm Manchester – 97.7FM and on-line.
