Jessica Taylor and Kevin Pietersen have become parents for the first time.
The former Liberty X singer gave birth to a baby boy today (10.05.10) after the England cricketer had flown back from the Caribbean where he was playing for his country.
A statement said: 'They are both thrilled to announce the birth of their baby boy today. The baby was born this morning without complication and both baby and Jessica are doing brilliantly.'
As soon as Kevin heard the news his wife had gone into labour, he jetted back from the Barbados where he was taking part in the World Twenty 20 competition.
He later described the birth of his son, who has yet to be named, as 'the most amazing experience of my life.'
Jessica and Kevin married in a winter wonderland-themed wedding in 2008, but shunned the magazine deals on offer in order for it to remain private.
