The Big Reunion Festival gets ready to party

UK’s biggest indoor winter music event, The Big Reunion Festival is about to hang up the sold out sign for the ninth year in a row!

Organisers today announced that ticket sales for the triple weekend festival are at a record high and it is expected to sell-out in coming days.

The opening weekend (20-22 Nov) is the last opportunity left to be part of the party and with headliners including Calvin Harris, Dizzie Rascal and Tinchy Stryder it is not surprising that tickets for the last two weekends have all been snapped up.

The Big Reunion fills six arenas with a mix of music and over 15,000 people resulting in three non stop back-to-back weekends. Over two nights, 12 leading promoters from the dance, urban and indie scene and over 60 live acts makes this event by far the best thing about the winter. This event is officially the grand finale to the UK’s festival annum and the last chance to catch up with the hottest acts of the summer.

The Festival has rocked the UK every November since 2001 and it’s easy to see why. Renowned for its huge 360-degree music policy, the huge line-up boasts the biggest line up of live bands, dj’s, acts and promoters at one UK event. For 2009 the Big Reunion steps up another gear with an unrivalled array of headline stars, supporting acts and dance promoters.

Headlining across the three weekends on the Friday Remix stage are Calvin Harris supported by Beardyman; Tinchy Stryder supported by Tommy Sparks and Dizzee Rascal supported by Andy George and Ou Est Le Swimming Pool.

Over to the Saturday Big Reunion Live stage and we are graced with the calibre of The Wombats, supported by The Holloways, The Infidels and Johnny Foreigner. Add to this mix international names such as: Cream Classics, Judgement Sundays, Godskitchen, Hed Kandi, Twice as Nice, Trinity, Kissdafunk and the cult Reunion Rewind, and you have officially the best kept secret in the Festival calendar.

Then for those who still want more new to The Big Reunion 2009 will be the Saturday afternoon Street Party. 'Winter’ is the party theme and festival goers will be encouraged to go fancy dress crazy whilst they play in the snow and enjoy the surprise acts who will be kept secret until the day – so time to get the retro skiing gear and Santa hats out of the attic!
