Shinedown single and November dates
Florida four-piece Shinedown have announced the upcoming release of single If You Only Knew on October 26, taken from the album The Sound Of Madness. The band have also announced an autumn UK tour, which kicks off in Manchester on Wednesday November 4 and includes a date at Londons Forum on November 11. Due to overwhelming demand, the venues for both the Manchester and Glasgow dates have already been upgraded.
The band have had an incredible 2009 thus far, with The Sound Of Madness (produced by multiple Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo) debuting at number 8 on the Billboard 200 in the US. The UK are falling under their spell as well, with recent single Second Chance playlisted at Radio 1, Absolute, XFM, Kerrang and Scuzz amongst others. Shinedown completed a headline tour of the UK in January which saw them sell out Camdens Electric Ballroom and June saw them play their first UK festival date a rapturously received set on the second stage at Download. They also bagged themselves a nomination at the Kerrang! Awards for 'Best International Newcomer.
Shinedown exploded onto the US rock scene in 2003 with their RIAA platinum-certified breakthrough debut, Leave A Whisper. 2005 saw the release of sophomore album Us and Them, the RIAA gold-certified record that yielded the blockbusting single Save Me, a track which dominated the airwaves and held down the number one spot in the mainstream rock charts for a stunning twelve consecutive weeks. The success of Save Me was followed by two further top five hits Heroes and I Dare You.
