Sergeant set to release new single, album
Fife's SERGEANT have announced that they will release a new single and album.
SINGLE 'SUNSHINE
RELEASED 21ST SEPTEMBER 2009
ALBUM 'SERGEANT'
RELEASED 5TH OCTOBER
The single is set for release on 21st September via their own label, Shy Recordings. Available on digital download and limited edition vinyl, Sunshine is taken from their eponymous debut album, to be released on 5th October.
Sergeant were inspired by the artists and attitude of seminal Scottish '80s label Postcard Records (Orange Juice, Aztec Camera), and they have combined that same indie ideal with the very 21st century model of securing a large investment from a music fund to launch their Shy Recordings label.
Sunshine is the 2nd single to be released on Shy Recordings following Julys Counting Down The Days, named download of the week by Sunday Times Culture, News of the World and Sunday Mail.
