Usher Bashes Celebs Who 'Pimp' Babies

(May 2) -- Without mincing words, R&B star Usher let the New York Post know exactly how he feels when it comes to celebrities selling rights to photos of their babies.
"In no way would I ever pimp out my child for money," he told Page Six, slamming his fellow celebrity brethren who have turned baby photo exclusives into a booming business. Instead, he posed for free with his baby for an Essence magazine photo shoot.Usher, who became a father when his wife Tameka gave birth to their son, Usher Raymond V, in 2007. He says he gets "livid that people talk about" his child, and that he can't understand why "people try to paint a horrible picture of what's so beautiful.""What makes you a man more than being a father to your child?" he asks. "I recognize I gave anonymity away when I became an artist, but to have people try to paint a horrible picture of what's so beautiful -- it's obvious someone is trying to stop something so beautiful."
