Julia Stone to release solo album

Julia, of NSW folk champs Angus and Julia Stone, will have a solo album for sale on their forthcoming tour.

In fact, the self-titled track from Angus and Julia Stone's last album Down The Way was initially written for her solo debut.

Julia revealed during an interview with TMN that her individual effort is almost finished and will be in fans' hands within six weeks.

It is currently being mixed and will be printed next week. She plans to sell it during the duo's forthcoming August/September tour of Australia.

She debated that the album will be called The Memory Machine or Winter On The Weekend, but hinted that her love of vintage horror movie posters might skew the cover art and lean to the former title.

There is no official release date for stores as of yet.
