Cheryl Cole will not work with Chris Brown

CHERYL COLE will not be recording a duet with Chris Brown despite reports.

The Girls Aloud star has been at the centre of rumours she would collaborate with him after they were seen in a recording studio together.

She has been in Los Angeles working on her debut solo album with Black Eyed Peas rapper will.i.am and met Brown in the studio.

An insider told The Mirror: "Chris was in the same studio as Cheryl and he knows Will, so they all met.

"Cheryl is working flat out with Will to perfect her debut album. She has also drafted in Soulshock and Karlin. But there are no plans to duet with Chris."

And singer Nicole Scherzinger used the night out as an excuse to find bandmate Ashley Roberts a date.

Speaking to the London Paper, a source said: "Nicole was on a manhunt - not for herself of course, but for bandmate Ashley.'

Oasis will be missed by Ronaldo

Oasis will be missed by Ronaldo

CRISTIANO RONALDO has said that the one thing he will miss about Manchester is Oasis.

The footballer, who left Manchester United for Real Madrid earlier this summer, said the band are his favourite.

Quoted in The Sun, he said: "I will be honest, I didn't even know who they were when I first arrived in Manchester, but you can't live there long without knowing who they are.

"The lads in the dressing room loved them, especially the English boys. When I came to England I was into my techno, but I think Oasis are one of my favourite bands now."

He added that he thinks they are better than The Beatles and his favourite track is 'Champagne Supernova'.

Ronaldo also admitted that he used to see them around Manchester, but was too nervous to approach them.

He said: "I saw them around town a couple of times but never spoke to them. They didn't look that approachable but sometimes these artistic types are like that."

Rupert Everett is pleased Michael Jackson died.

The 'Shrek' star believes it's better the pop legend passed away last month at the age of 50 as he would never have been able to cope with the pressures of his planned comeback shows at London's O2 arena.

He told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "I think it was fortuitous that he died. He was supposed to be doing 50 concerts in London. It wouldn't have mattered how good or bad he was. He wouldn't have managed to do them all and the press would have destroyed him."

Rupert admits he wasn't a huge fan of the 'Thriller' singer, particularly because of the changes in his appearance - which Michael blamed on vitiligo, a condition that makes your skin change colour.

He said: "He was a freak. He looked like a character from 'Shrek'. He was a black to white minstrel. He was crucified by that court case when he was accused of child molestation - that killed him.

"He personified the pain anxiety of a black man in a slave country. We all watched as he changed from black to white. He was living performance art."

In 2005, Michael was cleared on 10 accounts of child molestation but sources close to him say he never fully recovered from the ordeal.

Jackson's mother files for control of estate

Jacksons mother files for control of estate

Michael Jackson’s mother has formally filed a petition to be appointed administrator of his estate.

Katherine Jackson and her husband Joe both submitted the court papers yesterday (22.07.09), but only she has asked to be put in charge of her late son’s assets.

Katherine is believed to be petitioning under the Independent Administrations Estate Act.
The 'Thriller’ singer, who died on June 25 from a suspected cardiac arrest, named his lawyer John Branca and former music executive John McClain as co-executors in the will which was drawn up in 2002.

Michael also named accountant Barry Siegel as a co-executor but he resigned from the position in August 2003 - meaning Katherine could replace him.

It is unknown if she wants to take Siegel’s position or have Branca and McClain removed and be named as sole executor.

Michael’s will is believed to have a 'no contest’ clause - meaning anyone who disputes it is automatically cut out.

Katherine’s lawyer L. Londell McMillan insists the 79 year old has no intention of challenging the wishes of her late son, but does want to be involved.

McMillan told gossip website TMZ: 'She deserves a seat at the table, minimum.

"We're optimistic they can work something out. But I'm prepared to go the distance if Mrs. Jackson directs to do so."

He also revealed he is only representing Katherine and there are no plans for Joe to petition to be involved in handling his son’s estate.

A hearing to determine who will be named executor of Michael’s will is set to take place on August 3.

Michael Jackson's family are terrified his corpse could be kidnapped.

The family have become increasingly concerned after receiving a series of bizarre notes from fans of the late pop icon - who died of a suspected cardiac arrest last month - and are even concerned crime lords could take his body and demand payment for its return.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Michael's mother Katherine is probably living in fear someone will steal his body and thinks there is no place on earth her son can be safe.

"There are fears organised criminals will steal his body and try to hold it for ransom. There are a lot of desperate people out there who believe Michael's corpse would bring a king's ransom."

Although a memorial for Michael took place in Los Angeles Staples Center on July 7, he is yet to be buried.

The Jackson family are said to be taking the risk so seriously they have enlisted a team of guards to watch over his remains.

Katherine's worry has been compounded by letters from some of Michael's fans, who are struggling to come to terms with their grief.

People have stated they want to sleep on top of his grave to be close to him, while others have begged for strands of his hair.

There are even concerns hardcore fans could try to get their hands of Michael's body as some kind of trophy.

Another source added: "Michael had a massive following in Latin America. We've heard there's a gang plotting to fly to Los Angeles, steal the body, then take it back to their country and keep it for themselves."

Christina Milian gets engaged

Christina Milian is engaged.

The 27-year-old singer has confirmed she is to wed musician The-Dream, who she began dating earlier this year.

She said: "We don't have any wedding plans made yet - but it hasn't already happened, that I can confirm. We just want to have our closest friends and family there - it's not going to be too big."

The-Dream, 27, is said to have popped the question with a six-carat diamond band from Ivanka Trump's range of jewellery.

The pair are already thinking about having children, but want to ensure they have achieved as much as possible with their careers before starting a family together.

The-Dream explained: "I love kids, and Christina loves kids probably more than I do.

"I think when you're a female in this business, it's kind of hard to do the natural thing that you want to do. You have to do your work - then whenever she makes that time for herself, she'll make that time to have a baby. In the next couple of years, there'll be something around."

The-Dream was previously married to singer Nivea - with whom he has a four-year-old daughter Navy Talia - but she filed for divorce in 2007.

ROBBIE WILLIAMS is being distracted from recording his new album thanks to new friend Jay Kay.

The Jamiroquai frontman has been working at London's SARM Studios, where Williams is also based.

According to the Mirror, the pair have been bonding over tea and chocolate HobNob biscuits.

An insider said: "It's Jay's fault. The thing is, Robbie is too nice to tell Jay to sling his hook, so he's ended up hanging around for hours instead of working on his own album."

Jay Kay has now returned to his home studio to work on the band’s LP.

Jacksons dermatologist: I warned him about drug <br /> (AP)

LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson's dermatologist says he on occasion gave the pop star the painkiller Demerol but warned him about using the powerful sedative Diprivan.

Dr. Arnold Klein tells CNN's "Larry King Live" that Demerol was among the strongest drug he prescribed Jackson and doesn't know how he got Diprivan, usually administered by anesthesiologists in hospitals.

Investigators looking into the cause of Jackson's June 25 death have homed in on drugs given the insomniac musician. Diprivan was allegedly found in Jackson's home.

The dermatologist says: "If you took all the pills I had given him in the last year at once, it wouldn't do anything to you."

Klein said Wednesday he discovered that Jackson was using Diprivan while on tour in Germany. Klein told Jackson the drug was dangerous: "I told him he was absolutely insane."
