Los Angeles (E! Online) – The bunny hop is coming to Dancing With the Stars.
Sources confirm that Girl Next DoorHolly Madison will replace Jewel in the new season of ABC's hit reality competition show.
I'm told that the Jewel-Madison switcheroo happened pretty quickly, too.
Madison agreed to join the celeb dance-off on Monday, and by yesterday she was already rehearsing at an L.A. studio with partner Dmitry Chaplin.
Although Jewel insisted that a case of tendinitis in her knees would not sideline her, doctors have apparently told the songbird to hang up her dancing shoes.
Reps for Madison, Jewel and ABC declined to comment.
The gig could be just the thing for Madison right now to help get her mind off of ex-boyfriend Criss Angel.
She and the Mindfreak showman split in late February. Madison had spent most of the last four months in Las Vegas to be by his side, but she returned to L.A. late last month as a single woman.
