The 'Mean Girls' star began her 90-day sentence at the Century Regional Correctional Facility in Lynwood, California last Tuesday (20.07.10) and though inmates are required to remove hair extensions and false eyelashes on arrival to the jail, the 24-year-old actress was allowed to keep hers.

Alexis Neiers ' who was in the cell next to the actress ' said: "When she came in, she had her head down when she walked by but she was in oranges, just like us.

"She got to keep her extensions in and everything, which most people don't, and the girls were like, 'Ah, they had to take my weave out and cut it all out,' stuff like that.'

Alexis ' who was released from prison on Friday (23.07.10) after serving a 30-day sentence for burgling Orlando Bloom's house ' admitted she didn't have any direct contact with Lindsay, but could hear her crying in her cell.

She said in an interview with E! News: "She was crying. She was talking to deputies and, you know, just trying to - I couldn't really like make it out, but from what I saw the first day, she was lying in there and trying to calm down."

Alexis advised Lindsay to stay strong in order to 'get through' the remainder of her sentence.

She added: "I wish her the best, honestly, but you know, it's all up to your mindset, and I don't know what her mindset is in there.

'From what I understand, she was having medical attention and I'm sure she was just trying to get through the days. It's hard."

Although Lindsay was sentenced to 90 days in prison for breaching the terms of probation she was set following a 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) conviction, the actress is expected to be released before the end of the month.

After leaving jail, the troubled star must then undertake a court-ordered 90-day stint in a rehabilitation facility.

The 'Tik Tok' singer recently learnt how to permanently ink herself using sewing needles and a pen, and tested out her new skill on a 'hot' man she met in a hotel.

She said: 'A friend of mine told me you can create a tattoo with pen ink and a safety pin and I was like, 'That's amazing. I could give tattoos at anywhere in the world at any hotel.' I saw this hot dude recently and I gave him a tattoo sitting in the lobby of the hotel. I was just like, 'Can I borrow a pen and a sewing kit?' I think I got an admirer out of that one.'

The 23-year-old pop star ' who is known for being outspoken and for her eccentric dress sense ' also revealed she has a unique way of flirting with men in bars.

She added to Paper Magazine: ' usually do something ridiculous like send him over a shot of whiskey and then spank him. Something like that.'

Kesha claims to be such a 'pervert', she even attempts to pick up men whilst listening to heavy metal music in her Trans Am car.

She added: ' wouldn't say I'm aggressive, but I'm a pervert. I have a gold Trans Am and my favourite thing to do in the world is to drive around blasting Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath, cat calling dudes. It doesn't work, but it's fun.'

The reality TV star ' who was previously addicted to prescription drugs ' finds it 'scary' that so many people have lost their lives after taking high quantities of the same medications she used to abuse.

She said: 'Five years ago I thought I'd be dead, or real close to it, by now. It's one of those things where other people's tragedy brings it home. The amount of people who have died this year alone from the same stuff I've done is scary.

'The biggest drug dealers in the world are doctors. And there are a lot of doctors in Los Angeles.'

However, the 26-year-old star ' who recently split from fiance Luke Worrall ' explained she now enjoys a more sedate lifestyle, and has swapped wild nights out for sweating it out at the gym.

She said: ' don't go out in LA. What am I going to do in a club? I've done it a million times since I was 12! If I want to dance, I'll put on my CD player and dance around my room.

''ve become addicted to the gym. I work out every day for half an hour, unless I'm with a trainer, and then it's more.'

Long term friends and pioneering electronic musical comrades LCD Soundsystem & Hot Chip have announced they will play a series of special co-headline shows in the UK this autumn.

LCD Soundsystem recently released their third album 'This Is Happening' to mass critical acclaim. Since then, the speculation has continued to build that this is their final album and the prelude to the end! Anyone who witnessed their recent sold-out headline tour of the UK, Wireless headline show and rapturous Glastonbury performance will know that LCD are still one of the most explosive and relevant live bands around today. The Cars hint at reunion on Facebook

The Cars, or at least the surviving members, have hinted at a reformation via Facebook.

The band subtly put a photo of themselves up on their facebook fan page showing the surviving members jamming in a studio.

The photo shows Ric Ocasek, Elliot Easton, Greg Hawkes and David Robinson looking laid back and happy.

There is no official announcement, no caption to the photo, no nothing, but we can safely assume the band are letting us know that they're back.

In 2005, Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes formed 'The New Cars' with Todd Rundgren, Prairie Prince and Kasim Sulton where they played a mix of Cars and Rundgren tracks, but this will be the first time the band has properly reunited since their disbanding in 1988.

The band had several hits including 'Drive', 'Just What I Needed' and 'You Might Think'. Various members have gone on to record solo albums.

One of the band's two lead singers Ric Ocasek has produced albums from Weezer, Bad Religion, No Doubt, Suicide, Hole and Motion City Soundtrack amongst others. The other, Benjamin Orr died of pancreatic cancer on October 3, 2000.

No lie. Katy Perry's album third album (and second since her sexy secular reinvention) will be called Teenage Dream and will smell like marshmallows.

We can't stress this enough.

The twelve-track album's cover features the singer nude and wrapped in a cloud of cotton candy, much like her 'California Gurls' clip.

A press release specifies that a treatment on the packaging will make it smell like cotton candy/marshmallows. Basically, vanilla-y sugar.

The album has had an incredible start with first single 'California Gurls', featuring Snoop Dogg, topping the charts the world over.

Teenage Dream will come out on August 27. It will smell like marshmallows.
