The Holloways return home to The Garage

The Holloways return home to The Garage

The Holloways return home to The Garage in Highbury for their last London date of the year,

'No Smoke, No Mirrors’ has all the hallmarks of The Holloways we know and love, jam-packed with rampant pop spirit and humour but with a little something extra. From the harmonically rich layered guitars to the huge sing along choruses this is an album that promises to keep the summer alive. Their two month stint of venue hopping culminates in a three date residency at The Big Reunion where they join the likes of Dizzie Rascal, Calvin Harris, The Wombats and many more at this legendary indoor festival.

Feeling reborn is a rare treat; but The Holloways resilience in recent times has led to what feels like a rebirth. Reaping such a rare reward was the first step along the clear path that now lies ahead for a band who once again have much to smile about; not that The Holloways had stopped smiling – not for a very long time anyway. 'The Sun doesn’t always shine’ is one of the band’s phrases to live by along with 'everything happens for a reason’.

After somewhat a disastrous 2008 which saw a lengthy legal battle with their US label prevent exciting new material from being released and a devastating fire at The Holloways headquarters and spiritual home - Nambucca; their inexorable rise to stardom one could say was temporarily put on hold. But fast forward a couple of months to early 2009 and all is looking up, Alfie Jackson and Bryn Fowler are joined by two new members Mike Baker (guitar) and Edwin Harris (drums) – new band, new tracks, new luck – it appears everything does happen for a reason,

Stephen Gatelys partner flees to London

Stephen Gately's civil partner has fled to London because he can't bear to live in the homes they shared in Ireland or Spain.

Grief-stricken Andrew Cowles flew to London with the late Boyzone singer's ashes soon after his Dublin funeral on Saturday (17.10.09).

Since then, he has been staying in the couple's north London apartment as he tries to decide whether to sell their homes in Dublin and the Spanish party island of Majorca, where Stephen was found dead earlier this month.

Fighting back tears, Andrew said: "It's not easy being back here, but it's better than being stuck in Majorca or Ireland."

Meanwhile, Stephen's last interview – conducted two weeks before his death – has revealed he ended a 10-year feud with his mother in the final weeks of his life.

Relations between the singer and his mother had been strained since 1999, when she gave an interview to a newspaper the same day he came out as gay.

Stephen told reveal magazine: "There were tears and I told her I loved her very much and I'd always be there for her. I told her I was wrong and I should never have let it get that far."

He also spoke about his depression after Boyzone split, his relationship with Andrew and his hopes that they would soon start a family together.

Police have ruled Stephen died of acute pulmonary oedema, a rapid build-up of fluid in the lungs.

Katie Prices cage fighter boyfriend wears her gold leotard

Katie Price's cage fighter boyfriend wore her sexy clothes to a book signing yesterday (21.10.09).

Alex Reid – who recently revealed he enjoyed dressing as a woman - donned the infamous flash-flashing gold leotard Katie wore while partying in Ibiza earlier this year, heavy make-up and a long dark wig to the launch of Katie's new tome 'Standing Out: My Look, My Style, My Life' in London.

Alex was joined by Katie's horse trainer Andy Gould, her brother Daniel Price and stylist Phil Turner, who were all wearing replicas of outfits Katie has worn in the past.

To stand out from the boys, the glamour model – also known as Jordan – wore a large blonde wig and a tight red gown complete with feathers, ribbons, sequins and a long train.

In the book, Katie reveals the details of her extensive clothing collection and gives her own tips for women – or men – who want to look like her.

One pearl of wisdom reads: "You don't need to spend a lot of money to look cheap but remember, even though you might be dressed like a cheap tart, it doesn't mean you have to act like one."

When it comes to packing for holidays, Katie says: "For a week-long trip, I'll take seven daytime outfits for hot weather, seven daytime outfits for not-so-hot weather, seven beach outfits and seven night-time outfits. That's 28 plus underwear, shoes, earrings, bracelets, hairclips and bags."

Simon Cowell's mumtalks of 'difficult child'

Simon Cowells mumtalks of difficult child

Simon Cowell's mother has revealed he was a "difficult child".

Julie Cowell says the famously caustic music mogul started insulting her when he was just five years old.

The 82-year-old former dancer said: "Simon was a determined and often difficult child. When he was very small I bought a new hat and asked him if I looked nice in it. He replied, 'You look like a poodle.’ '

Despite this, Julie insists her son is not as mean as he comes across on TV talent shows like 'The X Factor' and 'American Idol'.

She told Britain’s Yours magazine: 'It would only upset me if he really was a nasty person. Simon isn’t nasty – he’s just honest. I’ve always insisted on politeness, so when people say how pleasant Simon is, I mutter 'thank goodness’.

'It means more to me than his television career. Away from television Simon is just Simon, the same person he’s always been.'

Julie also revealed Simon vowed not to get married when he was a teenager.

She explained: 'He said at 19 that he wouldn’t get married. I thought he might change his mind, but he’s now 50 and it doesn’t look likely to happen.'

SNAP! 'The Power: Greatest Hits' to be released

Greatest Hits to be released

'90’s dance music is back in a big way. Hard2Beat’s recent Big Tunes’ 'Back 2 The 90’s’ compilation shifted over 200,000 copies in just a few weeks, making Snap!’s 'The Power: Greatest Hits’, a collection from the biggest dance outfit of that decade, more relevant than ever.

Snap!, aka Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti, are the German dance group responsible for one of the most successful dance records of all time, 'Rhythm Is A Dancer’, which spent 6 weeks at No.1. Snap! were a major force throughout the 1990’s clocking up 9 UK Top 10 hits and 2 No. 1’s, one of which, 'The Power’, forms the title of this, their 'greatest hits’ album.

While Snap!’s vocalists have changed, the musical force behind the anthems, Münzing and Anzilotti, has always stayed the same. On the first disc their biggest tracks 'Rhythm Is A Dancer’ and 'The Power’ lead the way, alongside further Snap! classics including 'Exterminate’, 'Welcome To Tomorrow’, 'Do You See The Light’, 'Ooops Up’ and 'Eternity’. The 2009 club mix of 'Rhythm Is A Dancer’ is also included.

It’s been 20 years since Snap first landed in the UK Charts. With a brand new package of mixes on disc 2, Hard2beat celebrates the 20th anniversary enlisting the help of some of the world’s finest producers including Armand Van Helden, Tocadisco, Tom Novy, Michael Gray, Matrix & Futurebound & more.

With 90’s music returning (and the decade’s influences all over the charts), there’s no better time to relive the memories from back in the day or introduce yourself to some of the era’s defining pop dance pleasures.

Elton John talks of losing virginity at 23

Elton John talks of losing virginity at 23

Elton John regrets not losing his virginity until he was 23.

The pop legend - who married husband David Furnish in an extravagant civil ceremony in 2005 - wishes he hadn't waited so long until he started having sex.

He said: "I made the mistake of not having sex until I was 23! I loved being with another man and felt relieved that I finally knew who I was. I made the mistake of falling in love too soon because I was naive and romantic. My advice to you is to never chase love. It will find you when you least expect it. Have fun, have lots of safe sex and enjoy your sexuality. Be proud of who you are."

The 'Candle in the Wind' singer revealed his sexual regrets when he was asked to write a letter to his 16-year-old self, to offer advice on how to be happy in life.

He wrote: "I made a lot of mistakes. Stay away from drugs, they're a waste of time. Stand up for every human being's rights. Be loving, kind and strong. Set an example. You're going to have one hell of a life!"

Elton's full note appears in Joseph Galliano's new book 'Dear me: A Letter to My Sixteen-Year-Old Self'.

The band have also announced an autumn UK tour, which kicks off in Manchester on Wednesday November 4 and includes a date at London’s Forum on November 11. Due to overwhelming demand, the venues for both the Manchester and Glasgow dates have already been upgraded.

The band have had an incredible 2009 thus far, with The Sound Of Madness (produced by multiple Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo) debuting at number 8 on the Billboard 200 in the US. The UK are falling under their spell as well, with recent single Second Chance playlisted at Radio 1, Absolute, XFM, Kerrang and Scuzz amongst others. Shinedown completed a headline tour of the UK in January which saw them sell out Camden’s Electric Ballroom and June saw them play their first UK festival date – a rapturously received set on the second stage at Download. They also bagged themselves a nomination at the Kerrang! Awards for 'Best International Newcomer’.

Shinedown exploded onto the US rock scene in 2003 with their RIAA platinum-certified breakthrough debut, Leave A Whisper. 2005 saw the release of sophomore album Us and Them, the RIAA gold-certified record that yielded the blockbusting single Save Me, a track which dominated the airwaves and held down the number one spot in the mainstream rock charts for a stunning twelve consecutive weeks. The success of Save Me was followed by two further top five hits – Heroes and I Dare You.

Peter Andre says missing his kids is 'torture'

Peter Andre says missing his kids is torture

Peter Andre says being away from his children is 'torture'.

The 'Behind Closed Doors’ singer, whose divorce from glamour model Katie Price will be finalised on Wednesday (21.10.09), claims being away from the three children they raise is almost too much for him to bear.

He said: 'The only thing that has got to me through the whole divorce is missing the kids. It’s torture.'

Peter had a furious argument with Katie’s cage fighter boyfriend Alex Reid last week after Alex barred Peter from talking to the children.

The row came after Alex admitted Peter’s four-year-old son Junior had referred to him as 'Dad'.

Peter told Britain’s New! magazine: 'Alex talked about how he’s fallen in love with my kids and how Junior has called him Dad. Of course, I was hurt when I read this. What father wouldn’t be?

'He says he feels bad about spending so much time with someone else’s kids, but then proceeds to talk about them at length. Why would you do that if you felt bad?

'Every week I have to deal with something new. I don’t tell anyone what goes on and then it comes out and I have to put the story straight. I’m not sure what Kate is doing, but I’m not interested in all this tit for tat b*****ks.'

Peter added he won’t be celebrating when his marriage is formally dissolved – Katie is planning to throw a divorce party – instead planning to spend time at home with his children.

Jennifer Hudson still wants to eat for two

Jennifer Hudson wishes she could carry on eating for two.

The singer-and-actress – who gave birth to her son David in August – would love to continue eating as much as she did when she was pregnant but has been forced to 'snap back' to a healthier diet to lose her baby weight.

She told ETOnline: "The trick is getting back into your old ways. If I could go around eating like I ate while I was pregnant, that'd be the way to go. But you have to snap back to it. It’s like an on and off switch, you have to go back to the norm.'

The 28-year-old star – who has the 10-week-old tot with her fiance, trainee wrestler David Otunga – loves being a mother and is amazed at how quickly her son is growing.

She said: 'He’s continually growing every day and getting smarter and cuter as the days go by. He tries to talk. He really tries and makes noises like, 'Yaaaaaah’. Nothing comes out, but he really tries to talk. I’m just like, 'Are you serious?’ He really tries. He’s adorable. I love him. He tries to smile too, and I love it, love it, love it.'

Moby returns to London for an ‘unplugged’ special

Moby returns to London for an ‘unplugged’ special

On Sunday 15th November Moby returns to London for a special, never before seen, 'unplugged’ live show at London’s Palace Theatre. Built in the late 1880's to be the home of English grand opera, the theatre has an impressive history, hosting the first Royal Variety Performance in 1912, and was also the venue for Fred Astaire's final stage musical in 1933. More recently, the venue is better known for staging musicals.

Moby will take to the stage at this historic venue to perform tracks from his album 'Wait For Me’ as well as some other Moby classics from previous albums. He will be joined on stage by the incredibly talented lead vocalists Joy Malcolm and Kelli Scarr, who performed with Moby in June at the Royal Festival Hall to much critical acclaim (The Evening Standard, 4 star review, The Guardian 4 star review). Moby’s stripped-back band line up will consist of a string section, piano, acoustic guitar, and percussion. Due to the intimate nature of the venue, tickets will be very limited.

Moby returns to the UK as part of a wider European tour in November, and coincides with the release of a limited edition deluxe version of his critically acclaimed 2009 album 'Wait For Me’ through his label, Little Idiot, on November 2nd, 2009. Since it’s release earlier this year, 'Wait For Me’ has won over critics and fans alike on a global scale. David Lynch described the album simply as 'beautiful', the Metro hailed it as "exceptional, emotional electronica', while the Observer proclaimed, 'the chill-out king returns!'.

Lindsay leads her sister astray

Lindsay leads her sister astray

Lindsay Lohan’s father thinks she is leading her sister astray.

Michael Lohan – who recently claimed Lindsay needs medical help for an addiction to prescription medication – thinks 15-year-old Ali is too young to party with her 23-year-old sister.

Asked if he thinks Ali is following the same 'destructive' path as Lindsay, Michael replied to RadarOnline: 'Lindsay’s leaning on Ali right now. Do you think that’s good? Leaning on your 15-year-old sister?

'Absolutely I think Ali’s following the same path!'

Michael blames Lindsay’s mother Dina for her personal problems – Lindsay has completed three stints in rehab – claiming his ex-wife let the star move out of the family home too young.

He explained: 'The biggest argument I had with Dina was when she allowed Lindsay to go to California by herself at age 17 and live with another girl. I was totally against it. Dina wasn’t listening to a word I said. That’s when we broke up. Lindsay was living out there with a 19-year-old girl and everything went haywire.'

Michael recently claimed Lindsay’s problem with prescription drugs is harming her personal and professional life.

He said: 'You know why Lindsay's not acting in feature films right now? Because she can't. Because the girl with all the talent is hidden and buried deep inside this fungus that's grown because of the prescription drugs. She can't be herself.

"When you hug her she's vacant inside. When she kisses or holds me I get chills, and not in a good way."

Legendary Nirvana show - DVD release date announced

Legendary Nirvana show - DVD release date announced

Nirvana’s legendary Reading Festival headline show from 1992 is finally coming out on DVD/CD this coming November 16th. .

Ranked #1 in Kerrang Magazine’s '100 Gigs That Shook The World' and voted as 'Nirvana’s #1 Greatest Moment' by fans in an NME poll, Nirvana’s historic August 30, 1992 headlining appearance at the UK’s Reading Festival is one of the most bootlegged concerts in the annals of rock’n’roll.
The DVD will feature that entire performance – with colour-corrected video from the original film and with audio sourced from the original multi-track masters.
Nirvana Live At Reading will be issued in a limited edition DVD+CD Deluxe Edition as well as DVD-only, CD-only configurations on November 2, 2009, followed by a 2 LP version on November 16, 2009.

While the show’s centerpiece was a performance of nearly the entire Nevermind tracklist, also noteworthy were early performances of three as yet unrecorded songs which wouldn’t be released until two years later on - In Utero’s All Apologies, Dumb and in its first ever public performance, tourette’s. The career-spanning setlist also reached back to the band’s 1989 Sub Pop debut album, Bleach, for Blew, About A Girl, School, Negative Creep and first single Love Buzz and even further back to the mid-'80s for Spank Thru. Other songs from the Reading set would appear in studio form on the Incesticide compilation later in the year: Aneurysm, Been A Son and Sliver. Additionally, the band played a pair of beloved covers by two bands that helped shape the formative Nirvana sound – The Money Will Roll Right In by Fang and D-7 by The Wipers.

Only 2 of the 25 performances on the DVD have ever been released before.

The first sneak peak of which is available for viewing now and shows the band ripping through early 'Bleach’ era classic 'School’

Boo Hewerdine new album and UK tour

Boo Hewerdine new album and UK tour

Boo Hewerdine is widely regarded as a songwriting legend, an artist with a musical C.V of international collaborations and hit songs that stretch over two decades and many genres.

'In the two decades or so since he first emerged with The Bible, Boo Hewerdine has become one of the movers and shakers in song-writing and production; his name anywhere on an album being a mark of quality’ (R2 / Rock n Reel)

New album 'God Bless The Pretty Things' is his first band album in almost a decade. Recorded in Glasgow during the spring of 2009, Boo is joined by a wealth of fantastic musicians: Justin Currie (Del Amitri) Berlin based multi instrumentalist Gustaf Ljunngren, Ewen Vernal,Roy Dodds, Kevin McGuire and Alan Kelly (all from Eddi Readers band) and label mates John McCusker and Heidi Talbot.

'Hewerdine's music has a vigour and zest of its own. GOD BLESS THE PRETTY THINGS amounts to his recorded masterpiece so far' (Maverick Magazine)

He says: 'I thought of these songs as a suite. There is a song called 'God bless the pretty things' I have yet to record. It’s about how the chance to create beauty is the ultimate sign of freedom. This was in the back of mind during the writing and recording of the album. I chose songs that seemed to reflect this, with the previous acoustic EP series (Toy Box ) I was interested in storytelling. This time even when I’m telling a story I’m trying to find an atmosphere'

Lindsay Lohan due in court

Lindsay Lohan due in court

Lindsay Lohan is due in court later today (16.10.09).

Although it is not known why the actress has been ordered by a judge in Beverly Hills, California, to appear it is rumoured she is not complying with a court ordered alcohol education course.

Lindsay, 23, was ordered to take the course as part of her three-year probation for a charge of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in 2007.

Gossip website TMZ claims sources running the education course contacted the court about Lindsay’s conduct and that she has been 'outright violating the terms of the programme'.

The court order was made during a routine progress report on Wednesday (14.10.09). Records show no warrant has been issued, suggesting it is unlikely a probation violation has occurred.

However, if the judge determines Lindsay has violated the terms of the programme, her probation could be revoked and she could be jailed.

Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan, has raised his concerns about his daughter, saying he thinks she is addicted to prescription drugs and is planning to stage an intervention and force her to get professional help.

He said: 'I'm going to get her off the prescription drugs that she's on. I hate it when people talk about illegal drug abuse because it's not just drinking and illegal drugs that kill you.

"Prescription drugs can destroy and kill a person and are sometimes harder to stop.'

Lindsay famously served just 84 minutes behind bars in 2007 before being placed on probation after pleading guilty to two counts of being under the influence of cocaine, and no contest to two counts of drunken driving and one count of reckless driving.

Marcus Roberts joins London Jazz Festival

Marcus Roberts joins London Jazz Festival

Pianist, composer, arranger and educator, Marcus Roberts remains a singular figure in the pantheon of great American jazz pianists, with his ability to straddle both jazz and classical idioms with equal brilliance. Known as one of the most diverse artists in jazz, his highly innovative and original piano style as well as his philosophy of jazz improvisation is a merging of his love for great music from every era with his own creative imagination. His Oscar Peterson-esque virtuosity, steeped in the gospel and bebop traditions, makes him a truly compelling artist in any context.

For this special Festival concert he performs with his trio featuring the phenomenal Jason Marsalis, youngest son of Ellis Marsalis (brothers Wynton, Branford and Delfeayo), on drums and Roland Guerin on bass, both based in New Orleans and steeped in its musical traditions. The trio will play material from their new album New Orleans Meets Harlem, Volume 1,a celebration of how the early roots of jazz with its ragtime, blues, and New Orleans' influences, can be combined with the virtuosic Harlem styles to create an entirely new sound. The album has already received great reviews over in the States, labelled 'an early contender for 2009’s best jazz album' by the Boston Globe.

Catch a rare chance to experience this master at work in a completely acoustic performance in the intimate setting of Wigmore Hall.

"Marcus Roberts is a superb improviser with a considerable compositional gift." The Times

Sweet Billy Pilgrim tour dates

Sweet Billy Pilgrim tour dates

Sweet Billy Pilgrim follow their Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize-nominated album 'Twice Born Men’ with the release of 'Kalypso’, the track they performed at the event.

'Kalypso’ is a beautiful and haunting song, reminiscent of Elbow at their most atmospheric, with a chorus that revolves like a madrigal. The spartan, hymn-like air sees Sweet Billy Pilgrim drift into Fleet Foxes territory, conjuring cinematic moments of sparkling electricity out of the ether.

The band set off on their first full UK tour alongside Portico Quartet, darlings of the left-field jazz scene, at the end of October. In true everyman style Sweet Billy Pilgrim have foregone the traditional tourbus in favour of squeezing into a Ford Mondeo and hitching a trailer to the back.

And it’s this basic approach that makes the glorious music they create even more remarkable. 'Kalypso’, like its parent album 'Twice Born Men’ was recorded in a shed at the bottom of Tim’s garden, using all sorts of everyday household utensils as instruments, alongside the more traditional guitars, drums and assorted electronica.

Dates are as follows:

Saturday 24 October Bristol Old Vic
Thursday 29 October Basingstoke The Anvil
Monday 2 November London Koko
Tuesday 3 November Manchester RNCM
Wednesday 4 November Edinburgh Electric Circus
Thursday 5 November Glasgow The Arches
Saturday 6 November Middlesbrough Town Hall Crypt
Saturday 7 November Birmingham CBSO Centre
Sunday 8 November Brighton & Hove The Old Market

Sweet Billy Pilgrim’s single 'Kalypso’ is released on David Sylvian’s Samadhisound label distributed by EMI Label Services.

The album 'Twice Born Men’ is a Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize album of the year for 2009.

Oasis are 'no longer'

Oasis are no longer

Oasis are 'no longer', according to Liam Gallagher.

The singer has spoken about the future of the group for the first time since his brother Noel quit the band in August, and although he admits Oasis are over he plans to continue making music with the remaining members – guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell and drummer Chris Sharrock.

He said: 'Oasis are no longer. I think we all know that. So that’s done. Without a doubt. And it’s a shame, but that’s life. We had a good run at it. The thing about Oasis is, no one ended it for us, we ended Oasis. Which was kind of cool. I’m thinking of what my next step is musically, which is all my mind’s on.

'It’s not all for the worst because Noel can do his thing and I can do mine. People will be able to buy his records. People will be able to buy our records. So everyone’s happy.'

Liam is currently concentrating on his Pretty Green clothing range but admits nothing makes him happier than touring.

The 37-year-old rocker - who has an eight-year-old son, Gene, with his wife Nicole Appleton, and two other children from previous relationships - added to Britain’s The Times newspaper: 'We’ve always had a lot of fun on tour. I’ve always had a lot of fun. That’s why it was never hard work for me. It was a joy and it was always a bit of a bummer when the tour ended. You know, it was great.

'Obviously you’ve got to get back and see the missus and the kids and that. Nothing lasts forever. But it was never, 'Oh f**k I need to get off the tour because my head’s up my a**e.'

Noel quit Oasis following a fist-fight with Liam before the band were due to perform at a music festival in Paris.

Nick Lachey devastated by Jessica Simpson’s dogs death

Nick Lachey is devastated by the death of Jessica Simpson’s lesbian dog.

The former boy band singer – who got the pooch, Daisy, for his ex-wife when they were married – was horrified to hear the beloved mutt had been snatched by a coyote.

He said: 'I think a lot of people forget that Daisy was my dog too - for years. I'm sure she was upset. I was upset.'

However, the 35-year-old star has had time to come to terms with his grief, and is now feeling philosophical about Daisy’s demise.

He told US TV show 'Access Hollywood’: 'I didn't reach out to Jessica. It was sad to hear that had happened, but it's part of the cycle of life.'

After Daisy disappeared, Jessica posted a heartfelt plea on Twitter for information on her whereabouts.

Jessica, 29, wrote: "My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes, HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help! (sic)"

The singer-and-actress had previously blogged about the sexual orientation of the malti-poo, a cross between a Maltese and a Poodle.

While travelling the world for two years, I've encountered several monsters, each represented by a different song on the new record: my 'Fear of Sex Monster,’ my 'Fear of Alcohol Monster,’ my 'Fear of Love Monster,’ my 'Fear of Death Monster,’ my 'Fear of Loneliness Monster,’ etc.'

'I spent a lot of nights in Eastern Europe, and this album is a pop experimentation with industrial/Goth beats, 90's dance melodies, an obsession with the lyrical genius of 80's melancholic pop, and the runway. I wrote while watching muted fashion shows and I am compelled to say my music was scored for them. I also composed a ballad for the album, 'Speechless,’ a song for my father, and it's my favourite work of all. I wrote every piece on the road - no songs about money, no songs about fame. I wrote it for my fans, so I wrote everything in between."

The Fame Monster is a two-disc set with artwork shot by renowned fashion designer and photographer Hedi Slimane. The re-release will see two iconic covers – one limited to an initial run of 10,000 copies. A super-deluxe magazine-style edition will be released in December, including extra elements and never-before-seen photos of Lady Gaga: from the artist herself and loyal fans worldwide.

The first club-banging single, the RedOne-produced Bad Romance, will also be released on November 23rd on 7 inch picture disc, CD and download. Other collaborators on the new tracks include Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, Ron Fair and Fernando Garibay.

Lady Gaga is also in the process of planning her next US tour after her co-headlining tour with Kanye West was cancelled last week.

Kevin Federline owes $110,000

Kevin Federline owes $110,000

Kevin Federline owes over $110,000 in unpaid rent and damages after abandoning his home.

The dancer – who has two sons, Sean Preston, four, and Jayden James, three, with ex-wife Britney Spears – allegedly infuriated landlords of his rented Los Angeles home by disappearing without paying the last six months of rent and leaving the property uninhabitable.

Photographic evidence shows cigarette butts and glass bottles tossed across the garden and in the gutters, drawings over the walls, a broken dishwasher and damage to smoke detectors and light fittings.

The aspiring rapper also had tinted windows installed in the bathroom and converted another room into a studio without permission.

A source said: 'The landlord was distraught when he saw the state of the house.

'Everything was broken and even the garden lampposts were bent.'

The unnamed landlord has sent a letter to Kevin, 31, demanding $110,661 in back rent and compensation or he will take legal action.

A spokesperson for the star is unsure why the house has been left in such bad condition or why the rent wasn’t paid.

The representative added: 'His agent, manager and lawyer no longer work for him. None of us have any idea what is going on.'

BT Digital Music Awards return in 2010

BT Digital Music Awards return in 2010

BT announced today that it will be running its BT Digital Music Awards in 2010 after a short break in 2009.

The awards celebrate the best uses of digital technology in the music world: from blogs and podcasts to digital radio stations and digital-friendly musicians, the awards cover one the most important developments in the music industry, virtually since music began.

The annual BT Digital Music Awards launched in 2002 but took a break in 2009 whilst the world took stock of the economic downturn. During this time BT reviewed the award categories in the light of rapidly changing digital technology and its uses.

John Petter, MD Consumer, BT Retail, said: 'BT is a big supporter of innovation in the music industry. Our continued support of these awards marks our commitment to great entertainment and the development of new business models. Musicians and music lovers have benefited from the digital revolution but there is a real threat today that heavy-handed intervention by the government could stifle innovation and criminalise broadband customers.'

BT will be making an announcement in early 2010, describing a brand new range of categories, details of how to enter and the awards venue and date. Look out for details!

Moby to donate Californian proceeds to domestic violence shelters

Moby to donate Californian proceeds to domestic violence shelters

Moby has announced that he will donate the proceeds of his three forthcoming California tour dates to help that state's struggling domestic violence shelters.

Since Governor Schwarzenegger eliminated all State funding for shelter services in a July line-item veto, six California shelters have been forced to close, and dozens of others have laid off staff and cut services.

Moby said that he wanted to make his donation in a way that would ensure that the funds had a statewide impact.

'I've decided to give all of the revenue from my upcoming California shows to the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence,' he said. 'My hope is that by doing this I will enable domestic violence prevention workers to continue their work, and also encourage other people to step in and help raise funds for domestic violence prevention and care. Domestic violence is equal parts prison and torture for many women, and my sincere hope is that we can step up and help to protect women in California and end domestic violence.'

The money from the three shows, in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco, will be donated directly to the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (CPEDV).

Moby is touring in support of his new album "Wait For Me" out now on Little Idiot.

Nicole Richie hurt after crash with photographer

Nicole Richie is seeking medical attention following a car crash with a photographer.

The 28-year-old TV star, who was driving a Land Rover, was hit by a paparazzo in a Jeep Cherokee in Beverly Hills yesterday (05.10.09), and told police she was experiencing discomfort and was going to hospital.

Lieutenant Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police said: 'Ms. Richie was driving with a passenger around 2pm when she was struck by two photographers driving in one vehicle behind her.

'She complained of pain. Her car sustained moderate damage. No paramedics were called to the scene.'

Following the incident, Nicole’s mother Brenda arrived on the scene to console her daughter who was crying.

Asked if Nicole was feeling alright, Brenda replied: 'No she’s not.'

Nicole and her mother are then believed to have visited Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment.

It is understood the driver who ran into Nicole is being investigated for driving without a license.

Lee added: 'Officers could not verify his identification. He's being physically brought into the station. This will likely be a misdemeanour traffic violation, and the photographer's vehicle will be towed.'

Another adult was in the car with Nicole, but her two children with partner Joel Madden – 20-month-old daughter Harlow and one-month-old son Sparrow – were not present.

Jennifer Aniston follows flying ritual

Jennifer Aniston follows flying ritual

Jennifer Aniston follows a ritual every time she flies.

The 'Love Happens’ star – who lives a jet-set lifestyle – is very superstitious and always sticks to the same routine every time she boards a plane.

She is quoted as saying: "If I walk onto an airplane, I always have to go on with my right foot first and tap the outside of the plane.

'I have always done it. For luck. Someone told me to do it and I don't remember when that was. But it's kind of stuck."

Jennifer is not the only superstitious celebrity.

Earlier this year, Chris Martin revealed he can't go on stage until he's brushed his teeth.

The Coldplay frontman has a specific pre-concert ritual and admits he would struggle to sing a note if he didn't give his gnashers a good scrub first.

He said: "For me, there are about 18 things I have to do before I can go out to perform - most of them are too ridiculous to repeat! One is I have to brush my teeth before I go on stage, otherwise I just don't feel smart enough."

Cheryl Cole wakes up sick of Cole career

Cheryl Cole wakes up sick of Cole career

Cheryl Cole wakes up in the middle of the night "sick with fear" about her solo career.

The Girls Aloud singer - who will release her debut solo album '3 Words' later this month - is terrified of stepping into the spotlight without her bandmates.

The 26-year-old star told Sugar magazine: "The thing is, for the past seven years the other girls have been my safety blanket. If I forget my words on stage or something, there's always four other girls that can pick it up.

"Now I'm completely on my own. I wake up in the middle of the night sick with pure fear going, 'What am I doing?' "

Even though she is frightened, Cheryl is also excited to be challenging herself by pursuing a venture on her own.

She explained: "It's good to feel frightened. Being out of your comfort zone isn't always a bad thing."

Sleepercurve new single and dates

Sleepercurve new single and dates

Picture a cage match between The Prodigy, Mansun and Dépêche Mode against Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Interpol. Throw in a dash of Muse, Soundgarden and the Smashing Pumpkins and stage the whole thing on a flashing dance floor on board a future spaceship and you’ll start to get an idea of Sleepercurve’s sound. Having already supported the likes of Captain, The Rumble Strips, The Dykeenies, My Passion, Pete and the Pirates, Das Pop, and rocked the stage at the Download Festival, The Camden Crawl, Liverpool Sound City and Underage Festival, the trio have already amassed a loyal fan base and achieved in a short period more than most bands achieve in a lifetime.

Two tours have seen them reach the four corners of the UK and conquer everything in between, converting unsuspecting gig goers to bona fide Sleepercurve fans. After their latest studio visit, the boys are back with new single Robots (16th November) - a glorious sonic collision of their many extensive influences all packed together to make one magnificent slab of electro synth rock! With an equally awesome video to match, directed by Matt Simmonds (Bloc Party, The Manic Street Preachers, Rakes and Captain), many are tipping the band as one to watch this year. Robots is about the band’s fear of a dystopian all controlling state,

"It’s about breaking out from mass control and using your intelligence to escape dystopia – the single is basically written for anyone out there who wants to start thinking for themselves!!' ,says front man Dan Walsh.

Described by Rock Sound as '(taking) you to places only your imagination can create', Sleepercurve’s music lies between the stage and the stadium, offering diversity, originality as well as mainstream appeal. Inspired by the future and films including Total Recall, Blade Runner and Logan’s Run, they write the soundtrack to your Sci Fi reverie and the melody that meddles with your mind.

Their fantastic work ethic, obsession with creating amazing sounds and their passionate performances have already placed them head and shoulders above their competition. Back on the road once again, they will shake stages and blow minds up and down the country with their master class in fine electro-synth rock. These guys are set to rise to the top of the game - don’t miss a step of their journey!

Sleepercurve’s tour continues at the following dates:
